At the last gathering, we decided to produce a template presentation about current and proposed legislation regarding Houses of Multiple Occupancy (HMOs), eg licensing and new planning regulations. While it's possible to use the presentation for yourselves, a few of us are also willing to come and do it for you and talk to your co-op about the implications.

Incredible news; Random Camel Housing Co-op of Ipswich, Suffolk, have had an offer accepted on a house! No.s 23-27 Foundation St. It's actually 3 terraced 2-up 2-down properties next to one another, 2 of which have been knocked through, 1 remaining as a self contained entity. In all, it can house up to 9 tenants.
We are only able to actually buy it if there are at least 7 of us living there, and there are currently only 4 of us on the books; Gemma, John, Helen and Frankie, a recent new member who's just come back from touring housing co-ops in Canada.
Our aim is to set up a new housing co-op in Morecambe and we are looking for more members! We’re all enthusiastic about creating a supportive community and want to hear from people who would like to become part of this project with us.
We are looking for people who believe in working towards social change, in the many forms this can take, who are committed to a simple green lifestyle and who would be happy to live in a vegan house. The project is starting, so we need enthusiastic people that can commit time and energy to make it happen.
If you think you'd like to get involved or if you want to find out more, please get in touch! We are looking forward to hearing from you!

Plan B is a Manchester-based housing coop and the latest addition to the Radical Routes family, having joined the network at the Brighton gathering in mid-November 2009.
We are currently viewing large properties in South Manchester with a view to providing housing and resources (eg. a library or meeting space) for Manchester's social change community. To make this happen, we are looking for investment in loan stock. We are taking loans of anything over £500 and can offer flexible terms and interest rates. If you'd like to support our project or are interested in finding out more, we'd love to hear from you.
You can read more about what Plan B's about and how you can invest by following this link to our blog. Alternatively, you can send us an email and we'll give you a call:

Ned's has a vacancy in the main house. It will become available at some time in the next month. We are a completly vegeterian co-op with a vegan communal kitchen and vegeterian non communal kitchen, various out buildings including a self contained flat and an old factory where we host gahterings. The rent will be around £50 a week (we are having a current rent review) which is more than covered by the LHA. We have 11 adults and a 3 and 1 year old with another 5 month old baby using us as a halfway house. You could be number 12.
Just to let everyone know that on the first week-end of the month Coventry Peace House has Activity weekends varying from Fairtrade Football games, to building work or tidying the garden. Just let us know if you fancy joining us - we guarantee good food!
